IQAC designed and activated the system so as to raise the institutional capabilities to higher levels in order to make continuous enhancement in quality. Brainstorming and benchmarking techniques were used as important tools to collect information and ideas from bottom to top level and set in motion the action plan keeping an eye on the benchmarks.
The brain storming sessions at IQAC, department, criterion and administrative levels were conducted for the preparation of action plan for five years.
The action plan was submitted to the Governing body after detailed discussion with the Principal.

  • Students contribute to the functioning of IQAC by giving feedback regarding the performance of teachers with respect to syllabus completion and overall teaching qualities of the teachers.
  • They also give feedback on institutional performance which is based on the parameters like infrastructural facilities, admission process, administrative requirements, library, laboratories and computer facility, support services, non-teaching staff in the college, role of Principal etc.
  • IQAC takes note of this feedback and forwards the analysis and suggestions to the Principal for consideration.
  • It organizes alumni meetings and collects feedback regarding their employers which shed light on the quality of education imparted by us from the point of view of employability.
  • IQAC   also accepts suggestions by alumni visiting campus for any other reason such as inspection committees, guest lectures, functions, etc.
  • IQAC coordinator communicates the progress of the IQAC activities in the formal staff meetings, meetings of different committees and Heads of departments.
  • The updated formats by NAAC, feedback and other formats generated by IQAC and any other information required are mailed to the faculty.
  • The inputs from the stakeholders are also accepted by mail received on IQAC e mail id:
  • Each and every faculty is involved in one or the other committee as per the needs, interest and abilities. The supporting documents such as working guidelines, meeting books, formats, and other inputs are provided by IQAC as helpline. The tasks are assigned and deadlines are well notified. The active participation of all is expected and appreciated.

We have an integrated frame-work of the academic and administrative activities for quality assurance as indicated in the following chart. The chart shows that IQAC, in consultation with the trustees,Governing body, Principal and LMC, designs and implements the quality policy and strategic plans for the institution as a whole. It is done by decentralized governance system, participative management, for better stakeholder relationship, via faculty empowerment while reinforcing the culture of excellence to bring in the organizational changes. Criterion conveners, HODs, office superintendent, librarian plan and execute their work as per the guidelines of the Principal  and IQAC. Evaluation of performance is done through student feedback.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has developed mechanisms for quality assurance as follows.

  • Conduct of SWOC analysis on the basis of annual academic audit by evaluating the performance of the departments and special cells;
  • Setting of short-term and long-term goals for the departments, cells as well as the individuals on the basis of such analysis and audit;
  • Making necessary changes in the organizational structure by forming new committees, cells etc. and defining the lines of authority and responsibility as per the changing needs;
  • Designing the mechanism for maintenance of record by providing formats and collection of data;
  • Coordination of activities of all the departments through preparation of academic and administrative calendar;
  • Creation of quality consciousness at all levels through continual dissemination of information and meetings;
  • Evolving feedback mechanism through designing feedback forms; conducting feedback, analyzing the data, summarizing findings and recommendations and finally forwarding those to the concerned authorities for further action;
  • Continuous evolution of participatory, transparent and  democratic work culture; and
  • Preparation of reports like AQAR/SSR.
